The LabEX ICFP (International Centre for Fundamental Physics) has been providing this master as an integrated two-year program since 2012.

 Syllabus

This master is intended for outstanding students, both French and international, wishing to obtain a first-class education in fundamental physics. Students benefit from the prominent standing of ENS Physics department, while enjoying a high-quality program conceived for those wishing to embrace a position not only in academia, but also in the increasing range of science-related career paths.

Courses are given in English.

 Application

Admission can be obtained both in the first or directly the second year. The call for applications is open in February :

The selection process is based upon :

  • a solid background in physics and mathematics
  • a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • academic achievements
  • English fluency.

 Scholarship

Merit-based scholarship is available for full-time study in the Master : it provides a living stipend and is awarded for one academic year, renewable for students following the two-year program (according to achievements).

Application for scholarship is done along online application for master.

The scholarship is intended to give a financial support students who have already shown academic distinctions, and is offered to applicants of any country. It also opens up possible housing in university residence.
