The GDR and GDR-I "graphene and co", supported by the CNRS, organize a summer school "Frontier research on 2D materials" in the scientific institute of Cargese (Corsica, France), april 2-13, 2018. All lectures are in english. Note that this school is eligible for ECTS credits. Ask your University. A maximum of 80 participants will be allowed due to the restricted capacity of the center.

Thus, the registration process is a two-step process :

1. Pre-registration and application (until February 8, 2018): create an account; pre-register ; upload your motivation letter (in the tab "presentation, pdf abstract").
2. Acceptance notification will be sent to applicants by mid-february ; the final registration and payment of the participation fees must be completed by march 10, 2018.

About the motivation letter : 1 page max in pdf; a few lines about your background, your present position, your professional project. Explain what you expect from this school and how it is related to your professional project.

Rates

Registration fees include:

• participation in all educational activities of the school
• accommodation in double room
• breakfast and lunch (evening meals, taken in town, remain the responsibility of participants)
• a conference dinner
• Shuttle transfer from Ajaccio airport to the center of Cargèse (and back) at times specified soon. Transfers to other dates / times remain the responsibility of the participants.

Student / postdoc rate : 980 €
Permanent researcher’s rate : 1250 €
Industrial : 1500 €

Please note that people employed by the CNRS benefit from a total fee waiver.
Accompanying persons must pay for their accomodation directly at the Cargese center. Approx. 38€/night and 12€/meal (lunch only).
